La Melodia is made up by MC Melodee and I.N.T., producer/DJ. The duo presents warm, soulful hip-hop with a raw edge. Sensitive beats with Dutch origins that are slowly but surely seducing the world. It all began in 2004 when their first 12" single led to a European tour with Stones Throw Records artists like old-school legend Percee P., Oh No and Wildchild. At the same time, enthusiasm on the other side of the world (in Japan) led to a recording contract which resulted in the release of the debut album
Vibing High at the end of 2006. An organic whole of raw beats, bossa nova and warm soul for which hip-hop forms the basis. They have conquered much since then: from the Berlin Popkomm to the Jakarta InternationalJazz Festival. And the signs are that more is yet to come. Since last year, the duo has been accompanied by a live band which allows their music to move to a higher level. The release of the duo's second album in 2009 is being eagerly awaited.
