Ken Peplowski is one of America's leading jazz clarinetists. His tone and virtuosity are frequently compared to the legendary Benny Goodman. Peplowski has recorded over 30 albums in his career. Now 50 years old, he has been highly praised by many greats. Mel Tormé called him the best after Goodman. 'The man is magical', was the singer's opinion. Peplowski learned to play in a Polish polka band. 'In such a band you need to think and act very quickly. I benefited from this when I joined Tom Dorsey's orchestra.' Over the years, Peplowski has worked with, among others, Hank Jones, George Shearing, James Moody, and film director and clarinetist Woody Allen.
