This year, the North Sea Jazz Festival is bringing a very special musical line-up to Europe:
Chicago Blues: A LIVING HISTORY. The composition is rare and consists solely of big names from the Windy City. Assembled on a single stage, different generations of blues musicians together present an awe-inspiring tribute to the electric Chicago blues that the city has produced since the 1940s, from John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson to Muddy Waters. This musical high mass is led by pioneers; musicians of the first flight and their worthy heirs: Billy Boy Arnold (harmonica, vocals), John Primer (guitar, vocals), Billy Branch (harmonica, vocals) and Lurrie Bell (guitar, vocals). These four are supported by an All-Star line-up consisting of Billy Flynn (guitar), Johnny Iguana (keyboards), Felton Crews (bass), Kenny Smith (drums) and Matthew Skoller (harmonica). An unparalleled historic tribute.
