Sharrie Williams was brought up on music. Her entire family, from her little brother to her grandmother, used to sing jazz and gospel. For as long as she can remember, her family home used to be filled with music. She had a passion for the blues and with her band The Wise Guys she performed regularly in the blues clubs of Chicago. With the CD Hard Drivin' Woman she made a name for herself on the blues scene; this yielded her many invitations to perform at blues festivals. With her powerful, smoky voice, Williams has developed a unique blues style that incorporates both her gospel roots and a rock sound. This can be heard on her new record I'm Here to Stay, with which she establishes herself as an extraordinary blues talent. Sharrie Williams is nominated in the category Traditional Blues Female Artist Of The Year!
