A singer-songwriter from Amsterdam, Leine has made giant leaps in the music world since winning the Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2007. With her own guitar compositions, in which the influence of jazz and bossa nova resound and her straightforward lyrics, she is slowly but surely becoming a musician of note. Leine knows how to touch her audience with her songs in her own charming way. She performed for many years as half of the duo Kirke (Winner of the Grote Prijs van Nederland in 1997). In 2005 she set out on her solo musical adventure. Her self-released debut EP Songs at the Dinnertable was widely acclaimed. Leine is currently working on her second CD and on a theater show with the Utrecht-based poet Ingmar Heytze.
