Frank McComb´s appearance at the 2008 North Sea Jazz Festival is in perfect harmony with the CD-DVD Frank McComb Live in Atlanta Vol. 1 that was released earlier this year. During the concert you will hear that the singer-pianist is well and truly standing on his own two feet. For a long time it had looked as if he would forever remain the singer of Another Day, the super hit for Branford Marsalis' Buckshot LeFonque in 1997. But three years later he released his first solo album Love Stories and in the new century he gradually built up a solid reputation of his own. Frank McComb is a sweet-voiced soul crooner with an elastic voice. His phrasing is somewhat reminiscent of the great Stevie Wonder, the idol of every singer who has anything at all to do with soul.
