As a DJ on the Ninja Tune label, Fink was used to making a lot of noise. These days, Fink (Fin Greenall from Brighton) is a sensitive young man with a guitar who shares the secrets of his soul in an intimate way. It is an astonishing turnaround from trip-hop to acoustic music: Fink has sworn off electronics. But supported by drums and bass Fink shows that his years as a DJ and in dance music have not been wiped out. The Dutch daily NRC Handelsblad commented about his performances in the Netherlands earlier this year: "the role of the groove cannot be underestimated in his music". After countless dance productions, in 2006 he released his debut CD Biscuits for Breakfast. On his latest album Distance and Time Fink at times sounds like a modern Leonard Cohen or Nick Drake.
