Some people have all the luck. Hans Teeuwen for instance. In the Netherlands he is considered to be the best cabaret performer and stand-up comedian the country has seen in the past fifteen years. And if that isn't enough, he is also an excellent crooner and jazz singer. In 2004 he finished his tour with his program Industry of Love and in 2005 he announced he was quitting cabaret. In October 2006, Hans Teeuwen returned to the stage. This time as a singer. The cabaret-esque title of the show he gave in the Amsterdam club Panama was: Hans Teeuwen sings songs that were sung earlier, better and more often by others. In 2007 a live CD and DVD were released of the concert, where he was accompanied by sax player Benjamin Herman and guitarist Jesse van Ruller. The media praise his voice, interpretation of lyrics, timing and phrasing and some even say he is the musical revelation of the year.
