Four members of this group live in Los Angeles and one in New York. And it's that very fact that brings suspense to their music, according to the American Kneebody. Their modern electro acoustic jazz mixed with hip-hop and rock influences is very much worth checking out. The quintet - started at the end of the nineties on the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York where the five of them got to know each other - works democratically, there is no leader. Saxophonist Ben Wendel, trumpeter Shane Endsley, keyboardist Adam Benjamin, bassist Kaveh Rastegar and drummer Nate Wood all come up with ideas that they get from their work as sidemen in jazz, hip-hop and rock groups. And therefore their music is multi-faced. The New York Times described it as follows: "An update of the rugged, exploratory early fusion of Weather Report and Return to Forever." The new CD Low Electrical Worker has just been released.
