The adventurous guitarist Frank Möbus, who's known for his work with Yuri Honing's Wired Paradise and Der Rote Bereich, has found a rock steady band in Erdmann 3000. In the group of Daniel Erdmann, a promising German saxophone player, he's allowed to lay out his improvisations in sound textures of his choice. The other members of the band (bassist Johannes Fink and drummer John Schröder) proclaim intuitive understanding. Erdmann 3000 was founded in 1999. Being the flagship of the Berlin avant-garde scene the group established itself with two CD's. Recently a new one was released: Supermicrogravity, another example of adventurous free jazz explorations. The German media spoke of an incredibly musical, sensitive and also complex language.
