The former art-student and cartoonist Steven Henry hides behind the pseudonym Infinite Livez. The British rapper made his debut in 2004 with the album Bushmeat. In collaboration with the Swiss electric jazz/ laptop duo Stade he released the praised album Art Brut Fe De Yoot that, according to the Swiss on-line weekly MusiQualité, 'should be urgently listened to'. The album is an initiative of Pierre Audetat, one of Stade's musicians, who's a great fan of the rapper. After having proved that Stade had collaborated with Nils Petter Molvær and Erik Truffaz, Henry gave in. The result sounds overpowering and shakes the listener wide awake from the first track on. Stade provides the electronic scenery full of distorted melodies as a backdrop for Infinite Livez' decadent and radical raps. Guitarist Elliott Sharp, the avant-garde guitar genius who, unfortunately, can be rarely heard in The Netherlands, is a welcome guest.
