Since their collaboration in the Amsterdam BIM-huis the catching fusion of hard bop jazz and dance beats has been a fact. The formation Jazzinvaders, consisting of Phil Martin pushing buttons and the two Houdini members saxophonist Rolf Delfos and pianist Erwin Hoorweg, is a golden combination. All this can be heard on the CD Up&Out, that was released last year. Martin's heavy broken beats and exotic grooves mix naturally with thick horn licks and Latin piano riffs. Add some vocals and… put on your dancing shoes.
