Joss Stone, the flower girl with the hippie-like charisma from the British town of Ashill, Devon, has turned eighteen now. She sings first-rate soul in a raw, mature voice that doesn’t betray her age at all. With two albums in one year she puts the one-hit-wonders in the charts in their place. In less than no time Joss has become a star with international allure who spends every hour of the day on her music. Her second album Mind, Body & Soul sheds some light on the life of a young woman. She is cool and sweet at the same time, raw and soulful and she has the eloquence of a real soulsista, despite the fact that her voice is still growing. That’s why her voice now has a somewhat deeper timbre than on her first album. With this performance Joss makes her festival debut in The Netherlands.
