Also The North Sea Jazz Festival welcomes once again a Dutch student big band of great stature. This year the Rotterdam Conservatory presents a latin program performed by the Afro-Cuban Big Band, a jazz big band with a latin rhythm section, completed with (coro) vocals. The formation is led by Bobby Sanabria, former drummer of the Maurio Bauza Big Band. He also teaches at the Manhattan School of Music and The New School in New York.
