The recipe for Cruce de Caminos is just as simple as the final outcome is complex. Take one of today's best, open-mined flamenco guitarists and let him make music with a changing line up of flamenco, jazz and world musicians, who are just as receptive for different musical influences as the leader himself. The leader we are referring to is guitarist Gerardo Núñez, a man who found himself a perfect co-leader: saxophonist Perico Sambeat. In the project Cruce de Caminos they research the borderland between flamenco and jazz and during each concert they discover paths where no man has ever gone before.
