The charismatic vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater is a woman to feast your eyes on. Not only is she gifted with an unequalled voice, she still proves to be a real showbiz kid who hasn't forgotten her old Broadway routines. With her theatrical interpretations, her sense of drama and power to convince, Bridgewater, as a true diva, knows like no other how to win an audience. In her project Latin Landscapes'the diva, backed by tenor and soprano saxophonist David Sanchéz, presents latin jazz. Through the years Sanchéz has developed as thé representative of the 'Cubop Department', the place where jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms merge. They know each other from a project with Horace Silver and felt that there was more in store for the two of them. In this concert they concentrate on various rhythms from Brazil, Argentina and Puerto Rico, the motherland of Sanchéz.
