Mark Isham has more than 60 soundtracks to his name, including Miracle, A River Runs Through It, The Majestic, October Sky, Blade, Nell, Men of Honor, Save The Last Dance and Moonlight Mile. That the movie ‘oeuvre’ of this wayward jazz trumpeter is appreciated in Hollywood is shown by the fact that he won a Grammy and an Emmy and that he was nominated for these prizes and others (Golden Globes, Oscars) numerous times. As a studio musician and sideman Isham played with stars like Bruce Springsteen, Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Ziggy Marley, Joni Mitchell, The Rolling Stones and Van Morrison. Next to that he also has a shining career as a jazz trumpeter. The London Times called his album Miles Remembered (1999) The Best Jazz Album of The Year.
