This year pianist Ramón Valle drops by with the trio he recently recorded the beautiful album No Escape with. On that album he continues telling his Cuban influenced jazz stories. The Cuba born, Holland based pianist is blessed with a dexterous technique. He performs his creative and dynamic jazz with a lot of expression. In his playing influences of Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock resound, but next those his roots play an important role. Concerning his trio he stated: “This is what I’m looking for: three levels of rhythm, three melody lines that meet on the way. This album is the result of conversations with my musicians. Music is talking, raising your voice and making a statement. Every day that I spend behind the piano is a new search for words.”
