The short tour that introduced Joseph ‘Amp’ Fiddler earlier this year to the Netherlands was all but a triumph. Both public and press were ecstatic and his concert at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2004 just might lead to a national ánd international breakthrough. Fiddler started his career with Enchantment, a band that even made it to Carnegie Hall. As a producer he worked with bands and artists like Fishbone, The Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai and further more he played on the records of George Clinton, Maxwell and Prince. In spite of all these successes Fiddler wasn’t satisfied. He hired a studio and wrote, arranged and produced his own material. The result was an album, Waltz of a Ghetto Fly, which currently is conquering the world. Those checking him out, will understand why.
