For the fifth time the International Association of Jazz Educators (IAJE) provides an attractive and educational jazz program at the festival with workshops, jam sessions and concerts school bands. The organization, which makes it it's object to develop jazz music worldwide through education and accompaniment, hands out scholarships to jazz students, scouts for talents and looks for mentors for them. The IAJE also commands composition assignments. The Sisters in Jazz all stars-project momentarily tours all European festivals. It's an international sextet of young women from the IAJE-nursery of young musicians. As an encouragement the Sisters in Jazz-project matches all its music students to female jazz musicians who already have arrived; an example of IAJE-mentor programs. The young gifted sax player Tineke Postma represents The Netherlands.
