The music of blues man James Hunter made Lee Sankey change his musical preference for hip hop at the end of the eighties into one for the blues. At that time Sankey decided that he really had to try and master the art of playing the guitar. British Lee Sankey chose not be led by the traditional covers of the blues, but to write his own songs. For why would the blues have to be idle? And why is there so much opposition against the mixing of blues and other styles? Sankey, who managed to profile himself through the years as mouth harp virtuoso, has always been astonished about this fact and decided to change things. And, the more he listened, the more he rediscovered blues in jazz and rock. He has found his own unique eclectic style, which can be heard on his extraordinary debut album My Day Is Just Beginning. In May follow-up Tell Me There's A Sun was released.
