The Belgian experimental jazz rock formation Aka Moon is made up of sax player Fabrizio Cassol, Fabian Fiorini on keys, Michel Hatzigeorgou on bass, guitarist Prasanna and drummer Stéphane Galland. The quintet excels at horsing around with polyrhythm and polyphony. They can switch over from one rhythmic pattern to the next, from phrase to phrase to new harmonies, all in an extremely clever way. This makes their music very diverse, also as a consequence of the melting pot of styles used (jazz, rock and dance variations such as techno or jungle as well). We are very curious how Joe Lovano's tenor is going to sound in combination with all this. Without a doubt, this will be a trail-blazing and innovative performance.
