The bands performing in the Entreezaal, the stage by the main entrance, have the important task of stimulating and enthusing visitors as soon as they enter. These bands have to arouse people, stimulating their appetite for more swing, more jazz, more blues. With hardboppers the Louk Boudesteijn/Rob van de Wouw Quintet, the trumpet and the trombone play an important role. The group gets its inspiration from that breeding ground of talent: Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers, where many of their examples like Clifford Brown, Lee Morgan and Freddie Hubbard started.
