The ministers' daughter, singer and pianist Oleta Adams had her first singing experience in the church choir. While performing in a Kansas City club, she was discovered by British musicians Curt Smith and Ronald Orzabal of Tears For Fears, who invited her for a guest part on their album Seeds of Love and their European tour. This was her break-through, nothing was in her way. She had hits with Rhythm of Life and Elton Johns' Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me. The singer recorded various tasteful albums, like her debut Circle of One in 1990 and Evolution in 1993 and she specialized in writing gospel-like pop songs. Her latest album is titled All the Love' and was released this year. On this album she pays tribute to her love for her husband, who plays the drums in her band.
