Beady Belle is the duo project of the Norwegian vocalist Beate Lech and the Norwegian bass player Marius Reksjø, known as one of the new sounds coming from the Norwegian underground scene. After an education at the Norwegian Music Academy, Beate Lech sang with the triphop formation Folk & Rovere and was the lead singer in the jazz project Metropolitan. Marius Reksjø was the bass player in the band Insert Coin before joining Eivind Aarset's Electronique Noir. Both have worked with Bugge Wesseltoft. Their debut CD Home, the title referring to the singer's home studio where the record was recorded, is, basically, a mixture of jazz, pop, techno, drum'n bass and ambient. The band (with keyboard playerr Jørn Øyen and drummer Erik Holm) is known for her dynamic live-shows. Lech's texts and compositions match her partner's rhythmic grooves and harmonic shadings perfectly.
