Eivind Aarset is a steady member of Nils Petter Molvaer's band but also enjoys a flourishing solo career. Since Electronique Noir, his first release as a leader, he is seen as one of the most exciting, individual and creative people in the Norwegian jazz scene. The CD mentioned above was welcomed by The New York Times as one of the best, 'post-Miles, electronic jazz records'. The Scandinavian also got very positive reviews in the jazz mags Jazz Times (US) and the English Jazzwise.
